To create a backup of your MSSQL or MySQL database please follow the instructions for the version of the Plesk Control Panel running on your server: 


Plesk 12.x
  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. From the Home tab, in the My Subscriptions section select Manage Hosting to the right of your domain name.
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab.
  4. Select Backup Manager.
  5. Click the More Actions link.
  6. Select Database Backup Repository.
  7. Select Backup.
  8. If you have multiple databases select which one you'd like to backup, otherwise if you have one database that will be the default database selected.
  9. Name your database backup (If database is MSSQL, use .BAK extension, if it is MySQL, use .SQL extension) and select OK.
    Note: Do not include spaces or special characters when naming you database backup or you won't be able to download the backup. If you receive a 404 error when trying to download your backup, contact support for assistance or create a new backup without spaces or special characters in the backup file name.

Plesk 11.x
  1. Log into your Control Panel.
  2. From the Home tab, in the My Subscriptions section select Manage Hosting to the right of your domain name.
  3. Select the Websites & Domains tab.
  4. Select Backup Manager.
  5. Select Database Backup Repository.
  6. Select Backup.
  7. If you have multiple databases select which one you'd like to backup, otherwise if you have one database that will be the default database selected.

  1. Log into your Control Panel
  2. Click on the Domains icon and select the domain that you want to manage.
  3. Under the Files section click on the Backup Manager icon.
  4. Click the Database Backup Repository icon
  5. Select the database you want to backup from the dropdown menu.
  6. Click the Back Up button.
  7. Name the backup (If database is MSSQL, use .BAK extension, if it is MySQL, use .SQL extension) and click OK.
  Once your database backup has been created you will be given the option to download your backup. If you don't want to download at this time click on OK.  The backup can be downloaded at a later time by navigating to the Database Backup Repository and clicking on the Green Circle/Arrow icon to the right of your backup.
